Bone Densitometry or Dexa Scan

A bone density scan is to evaluate the presence of a systemic bone disease called Osteopenia or Osteoporosis. This causes loss of bone mass (loss of bone strength) that can result in fractures, especially in the spine, wrist and hip. The test is performed by using dual wave radiation and is quick and painless. Please call (423) 698-2435 for additional questions. We have certified physicians on staff that interpret the scan and recommend treatment.
